Evolution and adaptation of the journalistic profession to new challenges

Today's journalist faces challenges of a different nature that test his professionalism. These challenges include a technological crisis that is motivated by the way the media is conceived, its relationship with the public and the processes of construction of the news; a crisis of confidence derived from a context of information saturation, misinformation and an unprecedented boom in false content; an economic crisis sponsored by the fall in sales and advertising revenues, with the consequent cutbacks in personnel in companies, and, finally, a crisis of freedom of expression due to the harassment suffered by journalists by certain political sectors and social.

The use of new technological tools, innovation as the axis of advancement and the social commitment that allows exercising the profession from freedom and independence are some of the keys that allow adaptation to these new times, where immediacy is no longer a priority but rather offer truthful and valuable information to a proactive audience.
